about

The VIA-1 Conference was formed with collaborative work among numerous organizations and individuals: The University of Cincinnati students and faculty and leaders of other student organizations at various colleges and universities. The combination of speakers, workshops, and cultural festivities generate teamwork and unity among its participants, promote leadership and resourcefulness to the coordinators and volunteers in preparing the conference, and most importantly, foster the awareness and appreciation of the Vietnamese culture for all involved.

With the help of students, faculty, family, and friends, the Vietnamese Student Association at the University of Cincinnati hopes to educate students about the exquisite nature of Vietnamese history, help to implement inter-relationships between the U.S. and the Vietnamese economic and political systems, and to provide opportunities for developing effective leadership skills and strategies for all students.

Our Vision

We would like to see other Vietnamese Student Associations organize the VIA-1 conference at other universities for years to come. We also want to create a stronger bond between Vietnamese Student Associations in the Midwest.
