The Vietnamese Student Association at the University of Cincinnati and the Union of Vietnamese Student Associations of theMidwest(UVSA-Midwest) will host the Tenth Annual Vietnamese Interacting as One (VIA-1) Conference. The conference will be held March 16, 2012 through March 18, 2012 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Vietnamese Student Association, also known as VSA, is a student organization whose goal is to bring awareness and appreciation to Vietnamese culture and to promote diversity on the University of Cincinnati Campus and its surrounding community. UVSA Midwest is a non-profit, non-partisan, community-based organization, founded in 2007 as a means for Vietnamese youth organizations across the Midwest region of the United Statesto network with one another, share common resources, and collaborate on philanthropy projects.
The VIA-1 conference is an event that brings hundreds of students from across the Midwest for a unique cultural and networking experience. Over 250 student leaders, representing seventeen universities in the Midwest, will participate in a multi-day event to hone their leadership skills, hold discussions with speakers, and explore issues in the Vietnamese American youth community.
The goals for VIA-1 are to bring students together for a valuable experience, to raise awareness and interest in Vietnam’s rich culture and heritage, and to build connections with students at campuses across the nation. Such a large undertaking calls for the support of many sponsors. Enclosed in this packet is information on how your business can form a beneficial partnership with VSA and UVSA Midwest.
Your donations will help obtain outstanding speakers, remarkable workshop presenters, and quality venue locations to host the event. With your support, additional necessary items such as conference booklets, T-shirts, pamphlets and refreshments will be provided for the conference.
